I have immersed myself in all things French for the past three days. Lord only knows how I wish I could speak the language. That's right boys and girls, I've been in the beautifully balanced between the old and the new metropolitan city that is Paris.
I think it was definitely the perfect time for a getaway. Get away from London that is. It was last minute + kind of unplanned and as a consequence, I barely had the time to anticipate the trip. Notwithstanding the rainy and cloudy weather, I loved every minute of it. I had visited Paris once before but truth be told, I couldn't remember much except through association ie. we ate here the last time, we've been here before, and bits of incidents throughout the trip thanks to, for the most part, reminders from my sister. It was really lovely to see Paris with fresh eyes (almost). I'm not about to bore you with a detailed elaboration of the trip but I have to say that I took the opportunity to reflect especially with surroundings that inspire and a lot of times, at moments unexpected. Which is what I tend to do when I am either unproductive, jobless or on holiday. And so, much was revealed.
I heard this quote whilst I was going around the city.
Be mysterious, be in love and you will be happy.
